When you are tired of saying, “It is what it is” and want to “change what it is”…
The decision to see a therapist is a very personal one held in strict confidence. You may choose therapy during a time of stress, conflict, or emotional pain because you want to grow, mature, and move through a difficult season of your life. Perhaps you can no longer tolerate the same negative patterns repeating themselves over and over but need help changing those patterns.
I deeply respect the clients I have the privilege of meeting with because they have made the admission that they are no longer satisfied with the way things are, and they want to do something about it. That takes courage. I’ll be honest and tell you that going to therapy is risky business because you will change. Change can be uncomfortable, painful, and frustrating, and sometimes things get worse before they get better. You will get out of therapy what you put into it and I am committed to walking through that process with you. We will set attainable goals and you will be on your way to a more meaningful, joyful life.
