CREDENTIALS

Leigh Ellen Rodriguez, Ed.S, LPC,  (Licensed Professional Counselor)  is a qualified professional mental health provider in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Leigh Ellen received her Master’s Degree in Psychology and Ed.S in Mental Health Counseling from James Madison University, after completing her undergraduate study (BA in Psychology and BA in Religious Studies) from the University of Virginia.  She has been Licensed by the State of Virginia in good standing since 1998.   Leigh Ellen is EMDRIA Certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Reprocessing Desensitization) Level 1 and Level 2 and is also an Approved Consultant in EMDR. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with IATP (International Association of Trauma Professionals). Leigh Ellen provides counseling services to adult individuals and adolescents. Her areas of special interest include treating trauma and PTSD, working with first responders, and providing support for people coming out of abusive relationships.  She has worked in a variety of settings including JMU’s student Counseling Center, crisis and community services, and private practice.
